Sustainable Finance Officer (M/F/X) – Strategic Mission in Luxembourg-Kirchberg

About the Client

Our partner, a prestigious financial institution located in the Kirchberg district, is looking for a Sustainable Finance Officer to join its Thematics and Advisory Division. You will work within a high-level unit dedicated to advancing the sustainable finance agenda, offering you broad organizational exposure and the chance to contribute to high-impact European financial solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Unit, your mission will be built around four major pillars:

  • Product Framework & Design: Support the rollout of climate-related financial products and contribute to the design of new instruments targeting sustainability and adaptation objectives.

  • Regulatory Expertise: Act as an internal reference for the interpretation of EU sustainable finance regulations, translating complex policies into practical operational guidance.

  • Sectoral Analysis: Conduct in-depth research on specific themes such as Cleantech, circular economy, and critical raw materials to support decision-making.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain networks with policymakers and ensure climate strategies are effectively embedded across all relevant business lines through clear communication.

Your Profile

  • Background: At least 3 years of relevant experience in sustainable finance product design or climate policy.

  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of the EU Sustainable Finance Framework (Taxonomy, SFDR, etc.) and strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive presentations.

  • Languages: Excellent command of English is mandatory. Knowledge of other EU languages is a distinct advantage.

  • Soft Skills: You are proactive, able to work autonomously under pressure, and possess a strong team spirit with the ability to engage with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
