About The Role

You will be responsible for developing and participating in the implementation of projects, strategies, policies, guidelines and procedures that align with this commitment, specifically in the Environment, Environment Health and Environmental sustainability.

This Will Include

  • The implementation of actions and development of new initiatives that ensure Council and the community are moving towards sustainability.
  • Facilitating appropriate environmental engagement activities that address community needs
  • Participate in existing programs and develop, document, implement and evaluate new innovative environment and sustainability related policies, projects and programs that align with our Environmental Sustainability Policy and Council’s Delivery Program
  • Coordinate Council’s response to climate change, including planning, reporting and proactive programs and projects

About The Ideal Candidate

You will have worked in a similar role, and ideally have the following:

  • Minimum degree level qualification in environmental science or equivalent
  • Strong capacity or sound experience in the development of strategies, policies and programs related to the environmental field of work.
  • Current Drivers license
