RACQ is creating a new opportunity for a Sustainable Mobility & Change Lead to support the delivery of key strategic initiatives related to fleet electrification, emissions reporting, and organisational change. Join the RACQ’s Automotive & Mobility Services division on a 12month fixed term basis.
This role plays a central part in advancing RACQ’s climate and sustainability priorities, with a strong focus on electric vehicle (EV) transition, data‑driven emissions reporting, and change management across frontline and corporate teams. The role is ideally suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, data, and people‑centred change.

The role is ideally suited to someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, data, and people‑centred change.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role, you will
- Support delivery of RACQ’s fleet electrification roadmap and climate action initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate change management activities to support staff transitioning to EVs.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure EV initiatives support member service delivery.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret fleet and emissions data to support mandatory climate disclosure reporting.
- Contribute to RACQ’s Annual Report climate disclosures and ongoing emissions reporting.
- Manage and coordinate EV‑related systems, documentation, and reporting tools.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver sustainability outcomes.
- Support and deliver assigned projects using RACQ’s project and change frameworks.
- Identify risks, impacts, and opportunities associated with sustainable mobility initiatives.
To succeed in this role, you will bring
- Strong change management and project delivery capability within complex environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working with data, reporting, or performance insights to inform decision‑making.
- An interest in sustainability, climate initiatives, and emerging vehicle technologies.
- The ability to translate technical or data‑driven information into practical, people‑focused outcomes.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with the confidence to operate across multiple teams.
- Diploma in a relevant discipline (e.g. business, project management, sustainability, data, communications, or technical fields).
- Experience in change management, project coordination, sustainability initiatives, or similar roles.
- Understanding of EVs, fleet operations, or environmental reporting is desirable.
- This is a newly established role, reporting to the Head of Towing, Incident Management and Technical Support Operations.
- This is a 12month fixed term role and may be suitable as a secondment opportunity.
- The preferred working arrangement is at least four days per week onsite, with flexibility discussed on an individual basis.
- The role is expected to support RACQ through key reporting and transition milestones over the next reporting cycles, with future role requirements to be reviewed once these are embedded.
