POSITION DESCRIPTION:

As a Customer Quality Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring technical support excellence, field application efficiency, and high customer satisfaction across our product lines. You will collaborate closely with product specialists, engineers, and installation teams, playing a crucial role in resolving technical issues and enhancing product performance. This role involves occasional domestic and international travel, up to 20% of the time.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Field quality management for entire system components such as solar power system, micro inverter, ESS application (inverter, battery), cloud, etc.

  • Field claim root cause analysis, improvement plan derivation and verification, technical issue response
  • Field defect analysis, potential risk discovery, and improvement activities through log analysis and system operation monitoring
  • Leading product improvements; design changes, firmware updates, etc.
  • Respond to on-site support guides such as troubleshooting guides
  • Claim rate monitoring and lead-time management
  • Product improvement and verification work from a field perspective for new/mass-produced products
  • Outsourced service center operation/management, spare parts management
  • Production and training of refurbish guide for outsourced service centers


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in power electronics design, analysis, test, quality and troubleshooting
  • Understanding and debugging skills of inverter or converter hardware circuit configuration
  • Issue management ability (8D report writing, failure analysis, quality incident response, etc.)
  • Bilingual (English & Korean)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, RLC analyzers, impedance analyzers, spectrum analyzers, electronic (AC/DC) loads, and signal/power generators

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
