OUR PURPOSE
Our team provides the foundation for Qcells’ growth. We design and develop across the complete stack of Solar PV energy solutions to serve Qcells businesses and enable our ambitious enterprise strategy. By innovating the next generation of products and services we also support the accelerating, global energy transition.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for performing day-to-day accounting operations, assisting senior leadership with our financial strategy, and aligning the policies and procedures of HQCT.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform the daily operations of the accounting department including preparation of journal entries, payroll entries, and account reconciliation
  • Perform monthly closing duties assigned by Controller, which includes maintaining accrual and prepaid
  • Responsible for reclassing expenses to correct cost centers on a weekly basis
  • Responsible for monthly benefit reconciliation, semi-monthly 401k benefit liabilities reconciliation and quarterly Form 941 reconciliation
  • Responsible for preparing annual 1099 slips and supporting documents for Controller’s review
  • Responsible for preparing tax working paper (tax PBCs) for the tax department of Hanwha Affiliates for Controller’s review
  • Responsible for the investigation/research on tax requirement for all cities, counties and States
  • Assist Controller with sales and use tax return, property tax return, excise tax return for multiple states
  • Assist Controller with all statutory filing/business registration/tax requirements
  • Assist Controller with quarterly and yearly tax PBC preparation
  • Provide back-up support for other finance team members
  • Responsible for assisting with all financial matters related to government Grants
  • Assist Controller with all insurance renewal
  • Perform other duties assigned by Chief Financial Officer and Controller

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor Degree and/or Master Degree in Accounting required
  • Minimum 7 years of professional accounting experience required
  • Strong understanding of month end and year end processes required
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting preferred


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bi-lingual Korean/English strongly preferred
