POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead the commercial transformation and revenue acceleration across our Grid & Energy Services businesses. As a core member of the executive team, this leader will drive the company’s evolution from a product-based model to a unified, service-led, customer-centric business. Current target verticals are Data Center and Utility.
This position will be based out of Santa Clara, Irvine or San Francisco or a remote position.

- Drive bundling of hardware, digital platforms (EMS, DERMS, VPP), and long-term services into scalable Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) offerings.
- Integrate Hanwha’s EPC, O&M, green energy development, and IPP capabilities into turnkey customer solutions that optimize lifecycle value.
- Position Hanwha as the “one partner, one solution” provider to reduce complexity, accelerate time-to-value, and enhance performance outcomes for customers.
2. Enterprise Sales Leadership & Strategic Deal Management
- Build and lead a high-performing enterprise sales organization that engages C-level decision makers at hyperscalers, utilities, and energy-intensive operators.
- Own the deal desk function, standardizing pricing, contract structures, bundled solutions, and commercial risk governance.
- Align legal, finance, engineering, and operations around strategic sales motions to accelerate conversion of complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
- Advance strategic partnerships with utilities, data center operators, ESCOs, and real estate developers to create pull-through for Hanwha's vertically integrated energy value chain.
3. Customer-Centric Innovation & Solution Prioritization
- Champion a customer-outcomes-first mindset across the organization, ensuring that offerings are aligned to measurable business or operational KPIs.
- Establish feedback loops to incorporate customer input into roadmap, pricing strategy, and service innovation.
- Prioritize solution areas and market segments based on customer need, commercial feasibility, and internal delivery readiness.
4. Commercial Organization Building & Cross-BU Collaboration
- Build and scale a global commercial organization across sales, customer success, and strategic partnerships, focused on performance, agility, and collaboration.
- Embed “One Hanwha” culture by orchestrating cross-subsidiary collaboration between energy, finance, technology, and manufacturing BUs.
- Attract and develop commercial talent with enterprise, energy services, or infrastructure solution experience.
- Act as a bridge between commercial, product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment on GTM priorities and execution.
