POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Manager of Corporate Planning is responsible for managing and optimizing the corporate planning process, focusing on business operations, strategic initiatives, and efficiency improvements. This role will collaborate with senior leadership to drive operational effectiveness and contribute to Qcells’ business management from a planning perspective. This position reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Planning or another member of senior management that the President of the Company may designate. This position is based out of our Irvine office, with an in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the Company policies and procedures. Remote options could be considered for exceptional cases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage the planning and management of Qcells’ business operations, with a focus on strategic efficiency and asset utilization.
- Review and optimize SG&A, ensuring financial efficiency and supporting cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with the executive leadership, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams to define and execute the corporate strategic roadmap.
- Define and manage the operational planning process, working closely with business units and functional leaders.
- Conduct in-depth data analysis to monitor performance metrics, generate insights, and support management decisions.
- Manage and analyze sales and operational data to inform business decisions.
- Support the development of strategic business and presentations for market expansion and new business initiatives.
- Partner with Sales and Business Development teams to expand into new channels and customer segments, including Residential and Commercial & Industrial sectors.
- Analyze PV market trends, customer behavior, and sales performance in the US market to support business goals and identify growth opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience in corporate planning, business analysis, or related fields.
- Korean speaking and writing capability required.
- Experience in solar PV, energy, or related industries preferred.
- Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to executive leadership.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Familiarity with cost management and asset utilization strategies.
- Ability to travel up to 20%.
