POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for an enterprise Director, Talent Acquisition to join our HR Office and lead the strategic direction and execution of Qcells’ talent acquisition (TA) function across multiple business units, including Energy Solutions Business Unit, Technology Group, Grid & Energy Solutions, and Corporate Affairs. This role is responsible for building and scaling a high-performing TA team that supports rapid business growth, delivers exceptional candidate experience, and aligns TA efforts with broader HR and business goals, ensuring a seamless and integrated talent lifecycle as well as partnering closely with business leaders to build a sustainable, high-performing recruiting function that supports frontline to executive hiring. This position reports to the VP, Head of Human Resources for Energy Solutions, and will be based out of our Irvine office (Hybrid schedules will be considered based on geo location.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership
- Architect and implement a forward-thinking talent acquisition strategy that supports Qcells’ rapid growth and evolving workforce needs as well as utilizing competitive intelligence to source talent from the solar marketplace.
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment for a diverse cross-section of roles from entry level to executive, technical, and high-impact roles, ensuring consistency and excellence in candidate experience
- Serve as a thought leader and advisor on talent market trends, employer branding, and competitive intelligence
Lead Team & Stakeholder Management
- Develop organization design to ensure the function is set up for both current and future sourcing needs.
- Lead, mentor, and scale a team of talent acquisition professionals (recruiting and talent operations) while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Cultivate strong relationships with executive-level leaders and hiring managers across the enterprise to establish recruitment plans and provide them with best practices to support them in their part of the recruitment process.
- Collaborate closely with HR Business Partners and senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and design talent acquisition strategies
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Lead process optimization initiatives to streamline internal workflows, reduce time-to-fill, and improve hiring quality and candidate satisfaction
- Identify, implement, and optimize recruiting technologies, tools, and processes (e.g., ATS, sourcing platforms)
- Develop training on hiring best practices and interview training for all interviewers to ensure a consistent experience as well as ensure compliance with federal, state, and local recruitment and employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
- Partner with People Operations to ensure TA processes are aligned with onboarding, compensation, and immigration sponsorship
- Leverage data and analytics to monitor recruiting performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive informed decision-making
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 8-12+years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with at least 3 years in a Director leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proven success in building and leading high-performing TA teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments
- Strategic mindset with ability to translate business goals into hiring plans
- Strong communication and change management skills including the ability to interact with executive leadership
- High emotional intelligence for influencing stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement TA strategies that enhance operational efficiency and improve candidate experience
- Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting, talent strategy, and workforce planning
- Expertise with ATS platforms, recruitment technologies, and data-driven recruiting metrics
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in renewable energy, technology, or related fast-paced industries preferred HR or recruiting certifications such as SRHM-SCP/CP or SPHR/PHR

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job’s minimum qualifications.
