Frontend Senior Maintenance Specialist

Reports to: Equipment Manager Location: Dalton, GA
Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours)
Day: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Operate, monitor, and maintain front-end production equipment and systems, including Tabber, Lay-up Machine, Auto Solder, Auto Taping, Glass Loader, and EVA Sheet Loader, to support solar module manufacturing.
  • Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of equipment and components using appropriate tools and materials such as hoses, air guns, IPA, cloths, and vacuums to ensure optimal performance.
  • Disassemble equipment and remove components for repair or replacement using chain falls, hand tools, and jacks, ensuring proper handling and safety compliance.
  • Inspect malfunctioning equipment, identify defective parts, and provide technical recommendations to supervisors regarding repair requirements.
  • Replace, repair, and realign machine parts and accessories in accordance with production specifications and quality standards.
  • Apply adhesives, lubricants, and other required materials to machinery and components in line with prescribed maintenance procedures.
  • Reassemble equipment following maintenance and repair activities, ensuring accurate alignment and readiness for production.
  • Remove hardened or defective materials from machines and components using power tools, hand tools, jacks, sledgehammers, and abrasives as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with Hanwha Q CELLS’ operational policies, safety standards, and maintenance protocols.
  • Support additional duties and special projects assigned by management to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
  • Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
  • Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
  • Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
  • Ability to handle basic tools
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
  • Strong knowledge of safety precautions
  • Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
  • Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
  • Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
