Backend Senior Maintenance Specialist
Reports to: Equipment Manager Location: Dalton, GA
Schedule: Swing Shift (12 hours)
Day: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Night: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and maintain backend production equipment and systems, including Laminator, Power + Frame label machine, Trimming, Frame Assembly, Simulator, Silicone Dispenser, and Packing machine.
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational reliability, including cleaning and upkeep of equipment components using appropriate tools and solvents (hose, air guns, IPA, vacuum, etc.).
- Perform disassembly, inspection, and replacement of mechanical parts using specialized tools (chain falls, hand tools, jacks) to restore equipment performance.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify defective components, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement to support continuous production.
- Execute part replacement, alignment, and adjustments in accordance with engineering standards and production specifications.
- Apply adhesives, lubricants, and other required materials to machinery and components following established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Reassemble equipment and validate functionality after maintenance or repair to ensure production readiness.
- Remove hardened or defective materials from machines and components using appropriate power tools, abrasives, and precision instruments.
- Ensure compliance with Hanwha Q CELLS’ safety, quality, and operational procedures in all maintenance activities.
- Support additional technical projects and assignments as directed by management.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of cognitive and vocational experience in handling machine and machine parts
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance process
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning
- Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination
- Excellent time management skills and execute all orders and/or demands in a timely manner
- Ability to handle basic tools
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively and without assistance
- Strong knowledge of safety precautions
- Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisite and simple procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and etc.
- Able to tolerate a fast-paced work environment in areas that are not climate controlled
- Assertive, able to cope with pressure, a team player
