SUMMARY

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Network Administrator to lead our network infrastructure and ensure its reliability, security, and performance. The Senior Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our company's network system and architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and proven track record of managing complex network environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs
  • Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and IP addressing
  • Monitor network performance, analyze network traffic patterns, and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and uptime
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity of operations
  • Lead and mentor junior network administrators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
  • Collaborate with other IT staff to support the implementation of new technologies, projects, and initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in network administration to recommend and implement best practices and solutions

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level networks
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), and VPNs
  • Experience with network security technologies and practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SolarWinds)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and mentor team members effectively
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco Certified Network Professional, Certified Information Systems Security Professional) are a plus
