Production Supervisor (Cell)
Description
The Cell Production Team controls plant production and supervise manufacturing operation of solar cell production. Production Supervisor will train and direct Operators to properly perform manufacturing operation procedures. This role is responsible for general supervision of Operators to perform their tasks in timely and consistent manner during production.
Core Responsibilities
Main tasks of Operator Supervisor should include but not limited to the following:
1. Labor Management
- Manage and improve working environments of Leaders and Operators, including hardship conditions or workplace conflicts.
- Define and assign roles and responsibilities to Leaders and Operators.
- Provide proper training to Operators.
- Check work hours of Operators and third-party contractors.
- Optimize production operations and logistics.
- Report scheduled and unscheduled production downtime and its cause, such as maintenance or production testing.
- Establish response plan and strategy to production quality issue.
- Manage inventory and budget of operation materials and consumable goods.
- Assess manufacturing operations involve any risk in environmental, health, and safety perspectives.
- Ensure operation environment is always kept safe and clean to plant production standards.
- Conduct safety countermeasures in hazardous events.
General Responsibilities
General tasks of Operator Supervisor should include but not limited to the following:
1. Production Management
- Establish production management system in environmental and quality perspectives.
- Optimize production condition in terms of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Confirm data accuracy of production yield, output, and quality as well as raw materials in stock.
- Conduct control action plan of production quality.
- Establish production plan based on past performance.
- Manage production and material data on MES (Manufacturing Execution system) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
- Confirm data accuracy of production order and production quantity.
- Align schedules of preventive maintenance and production testing according to production line status.
- Investigate and improve issues related to production process, quality, and costs.
- Regulate standard training and operations of Operators and apply on-site suggestions.
- Analyze production cost and labor expense to increase manpower and resource efficiency.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor of Science degree in in Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Associate of Science degree with at least 5 years of experience in engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in leadership position.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in production management.
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Basic knowledge of production planning and control.
- Basic understanding of solar cell production.
- Strong understanding in production logistics and labor management.
- Analysis skills of SQL and MS Office to interpret data and derive conclusions.
- Experience in semiconductor, display manufacturing, or related industry preferred.
