SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Production Shift Supervisor to oversee our production operations. By monitoring employees and organizing workflows, this role will successfully carry out responsibilities to ensure manufacturing runs smoothly. The supervisor reports to the Director of Production Operation and oversees the duties of the production area, including shared accountability of a specific portion of an operations function. This role is responsible for managing labor on the shift, monitoring Machine Operator performance, and maintaining training records according to the company’s policies and procedures. This role will participate in problem-solving, associate engagement, and addressing issues on the line. The Production Shift Supervisor must be able to perform all machine Operator duties as required. The overall goal of this position is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
  • This position requires to receive training in South Korea for two months. Detailed information will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate work assignments within the production shift, including training, technical support, and/or process/troubleshooting support
  • Shift work is required
  • Closely work with internal resources to resolve problems
  • Interact and coordinate with support departments
  • Communicate production/quality issues with department managers
  • Facilitate and lead group meetings
  • Supervising operations within a facility to achieve higher output
  • Provide input into procedures as required
  • Assign duties based on labor standards, operator qualifications, and machine scheduling priorities
  • Manage break schedules and assist with machine operation during breaks
  • Track the performance of Machine Operators and complete annual reviews
  • Ensure that all Machine Operators are trained and have up-to-date training records
  • Ensure all team training is complete and on time
  • Assists employees in resolving conflicts
  • Adherence to department policies, procedures, regulatory compliance, and environmental health and safety requirements
  • Comply with safety and professional standards within a facility
  • Contribute to associate evaluations
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • A high school diploma
  • Proven experience in production supervising in the manufacturing industry, including experience as a production supervisor or in a similar role
  • Experience in employee training about safety and production
  • A good understanding of quality standards, health & safety regulations, and manufacturing tools and equipment usage
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Outstanding organizational, time management skills, and leadership skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor others
  • Forward-thinking (drives for continuous improvement)

  • Ability to travel overseas as required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the solar or semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management experience for workers in manufacturing
  • Knowledge of relevant manufacturing and processes related to the solar or semiconductor industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • An Associate’s degree: technical, engineering, or relevant degrees
