SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Production Operation Engineer to join our team to oversee manufacturing operations. This role will ultimately be responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the output quality. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a significant part of your day. To be successful in this role, you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time. These duties include building production schedules, ensuring production processes stay within budgets and deadlines, and reviewing the productivity of an organization’s manufacturing equipment. The overall goal of this position is to ensure an efficient and productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The primary duties are production operation, labor management, and safety management.
  • Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Scheduling regular maintenance for equipment
  • Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime
  • Setting productivity goals for each production operation part
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel
  • Train new employees and provide support and guidance to production staff
  • Ensure adequate scheduling of staff
  • Support the authorization of process descriptions and batch records, equipment, commissioning, process training, and validation activities for production staff.
  • Production operators organization / R&R / Calculate the appropriate number of people, placement, time, and attendance management
  • Determine the necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, etc.)
  • Purchasing the required materials
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Tracking to achieve production KPI goals (productivity/quality/cost/delivery)
  • Enforce health and safety precautions
  • Ensuring that health and safety protocols are adhered to
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Develop workflow policies and procedures that improve efficiency without compromising safety or quality
  • Work closely with other engineers and technicians across the organization to ensure stable production processes
  • Report on countermeasures for planned and unplanned shutdowns and quality issues
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the solar or semiconductor manufacturing industry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in personnel management experience for workers in manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant manufacturing and processes related to the solar or semiconductor industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience related to production management in the manufacturing industry
  • Deep knowledge of production management and understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, time management skills, and leadership skills
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • Ability to coach and motivate employees
  • Proven record in training employees about safety and production
  • Ability to travel overseas as required for training purposes
