Mechanical Facilities Engineer

JOB PURPOSE
As the Mechanical Facilities Engineer, oversees the maintenance and operation of
Mechanical Utilities facilities, providing strategic guidance to technicians. Responsibilities
include resolving facility issues, formulating maintenance plans, and efficiently managing
personnel for seamless facility operations. Operate on a salary basis, dedicated to
enhancing overall team productivity and efficiency.
II.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
➢ Must Have
1. Supervision and Team Management:
- Supervise Mechanical Part Technicians, ensuring efficient work order
assignments, meeting deadlines, and conducting training functions.
- Manage a team of technicians and maintenance personnel responsible for the
upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of the facility's equipment and
infrastructure.
2. Facilities Operation Management:
- Ensure the stable utility supply and management of Utility facilities, achieving
operation targets in EHS (Environment, Health and Safety), Productivity, Quality,
Reliability, and Availability.
- Formulate and execute both long and short-term operation plans for Utility
facilities.
- Monitor and improve the operational performance of Utility facilities, conducting
daily, weekly, and monthly management of performance (cost and quality).
3. Facilities Maintenance Management
- Supervise to Conduct day-to-day/routine preventative maintenance tasks on
various systems, including Ultra-Pure Water, Process Cooling Water, Chilled
Water, Cooling Water, Clean Dry Air, Exhaust blowers, HVAC, Gas/Chemical
supply system, and Wastewater Treatment.
- Oversee plumbing, piping, and mechanical parts installations, changes, upgrades,
and repairs.
- Ensure that all preventative maintenance on Facilities equipment is performed
according to the established schedule and Standard Operation Procedure.
- Compile and maintain records for all facilities equipment status, maintenance
activities, and scheduled testing, including fire suppression systems.
4. Budget Formulation and Management
- Formulate and manage CAPEX budgets, ensuring effective execution.
- Oversee budget formulation for Utility facility operations, ensuring optimal
allocation and utilization of resources.
- Monitor and Implement cost-saving activities to achieve KPI targets.
5. All other duties as assigned by management.
➢ To Be Trained
1. Inventory (Spare Part, Chemical, Consumable) Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive spare part management system.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts to minimize downtime.
- Conduct proactive inventory planning to ensure an adequate supply of chemicals
for wastewater treatment processes.
- Anticipate chemical consumption patterns and adjust stock levels accordingly.
2. Emergency Response and Compliance:
- Respond to plant emergencies related to environmental failures, fires, or security
issues.
3. Training:
- Deliver training and maintain the training record of Mechanical Technicians
4. Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations of Hanwha
QCELLS.
- Develop and execute safety measures related to the operation and maintenance of
Utility facilities.
5. Others:
- All other duties as assigned by management.
III. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
1. Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
2. Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a similar
manufacturing or related industry.
- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of technicians.
3. Technical Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of Plumbing codes and building codes.
- Proficient in mechanical systems and utilities within a similar industry
4. Relevant Certificate (Preferred)
- Relevant certifications are preferred and will be considered a plus
5. Regulatory Compliance (Preferred):
- In-depth knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations applicable to
manufacturing factory
- Experience in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
6. Fluency in Korean is a plus
