Human Resources Generalist
Job Overview:
The Human Resources Generalist works closely with the HR Manager. This position will provide innovative people solutions to address complex business issues, including but not limited to talent development and coaching for business outcomes, organizational design, and strategic decision-making. Accountable for all HR components, including workforce planning, staffing, learning and development, performance assessment processes, employee relations, and all other HR functional disciplines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Coordinate new employee onboarding activities to ensure smooth organizational transition.
Employee Relations:
- Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries and resolving HR-related issues.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Communicate collaboratively with leadership to influence, develop, implement, and manage policies, programs, and services in recruitment and retention, performance management, and employee relations.
- Effectively interface with all levels of the organization to coordinate and oversee all HR-related activities.
- Analyze situations and identify and forecast pertinent problems.
- Evaluate realistic options to recommend/implement an appropriate course of action.
- Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation and conduct exit interviews.
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Performance Management:
- Support performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on performance-related matters.
Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver training programs.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions as necessary.
HR Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making.
Compliance:
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and ensure the organization's compliance.
- Work with legal counsel as needed to address HR-related legal matters.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Able to stand and walk the production area throughout the workday
- Reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting as required within limits set by Hanwha Q CELLS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR roles focusing on general responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
- Ability to understand, evaluate, and make judgments on the proposals.
- Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations, filing, and compliance requirements, both adopted and pending, affecting employee benefit programs, including ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation, Medicare, and Social Security and DOL requirements.
- (PHR) certification/SHRM certification
- Experience in high-volume recruiting
