Senior Manager, Product Offering (San Francisco)
Description
We are looking for a Senior Manager for Product Offerings to join our Product Management team to lead the end-to-end development and lifecycle management of integrated energy offerings that combine advanced software, hardware, and financing models into scalable, customer-ready products. This role bridges technology and commercialization, and the ideal candidate will have experience in developing cohesive solutions made up of disparate individual technologies. They will work closely with Product, Engineering, Go-to-Market, Finance, EPC, and Business Development teams to design, validate, and launch offerings for the most complex energy customers. This position will be based out of San Francisco, Santa Clara, or Irvine, CA.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define, design, and manage integrated energy offerings that bundle grid edge hardware (e.g., solar, battery storage, and gateways) and software (e.g., energy management, monitoring, and DERMs features) into cohesive, productized solutions.
- Drive the full offer lifecyclefrom concept and feasibility through development, pilot, launch, and scalingensuring offerings delivers measurable value and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with software product managers to align platform and adjacent hardware capabilities with offer requirements and value propositions.
- Coordinate with GTM, Business Development, and Sales teams to define target segments, pricing strategies, value messaging, and enablement materials that position the offers competitively in the market.
- Work cross-functionally with EPC, technology development, operations, and finance teams to define configurations, commercial terms, and delivery models (e.g., owned, financed, or energy-as-a-service).
- Lead business case development for new offerings, balancing technology cost structures, revenue models, market incentives, and internal P&Ls.
- Act as the internal champion and SME for integrated offers, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility, customer value, and business growth objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 6+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or offer development within the energy management, or software technology sectors.
- Proven ability to create and commercialize complex, multi-technology offers, ideally combining hardware, software, and financing components.
- Experience with go-to-market strategy and business model design, including subscription, performance-based, or energy services models.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, translating technical complexity into compelling customer and executive narratives.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with ability to build and defend business cases and investment proposals.
- Travel may be required for up to 15%, depending on business needs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA or relevant masters preferred.
- Strong understanding of distributed energy systems, including solar PV, battery storage, and the energy management required to operate these and other systems.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills, capable of influencing without direct authority across engineering, finance, EPC, and business functions.
- Familiarity with wholesale energy markets, demand response programs, and grid integration concepts, including real-time pricing, carbon signals, and VPP participation.
- Experience in AI-driven control systems or advanced analytics applications (e.g., predictive maintenance, load optimization, or federated learning).

The salary range is required by the California Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the jobs minimum qualifications.
