Electrician Journeyman/Solar Crew Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Crew Chief for solar detach, reset, and installation projects
• Lead, manage, and mentor a crew of installers and electricians
• Perform and oversee electrical work in compliance with TDLR regulations, NEC, AHJ, and utility requirements
• Ensure all work follows PV National SOPs, safety policies, and quality standards
• Conduct daily job safety briefings and assign crew responsibilities
• Verify proper installation, grounding, labeling, and system commissioning
• Maintain jobsite safety, cleanliness, and professionalism
• Coordinate with PV National Operations, Project Management, and Warehouse teams
• Complete required job documentation, checklists, and reports accurately and on time
• Identify and resolve on-site issues proactively to prevent delays or rework

Required Qualifications

• Active Texas Journeyman Electrician License issued by TDLR (required)
• Solar-specific certifications (NABCEP preferred or equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical experience, including hands-on solar experience
• Proven experience leading crews in the field
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, one-line diagrams, and schematics
• Commitment to following documented processes and SOPs
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Solar Crew Lead or Crew Chief
• Experience with rooftop and ground-mount solar systems
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• Experience with solar detach & reset projects
• Familiarity with Texas AHJs and utility interconnection processes
