This specific role requires candidates to have proven solar experience, and minimum 2 years experience in solar.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing project schedules and leading assigned projects through the project stages. This role will handle less complex projects and assist the Senior Project Manager with larger, more complex projects. The Project Manager will ensure project milestones are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
Ensuring on-time delivery of completed projects
Negotiating with subcontractors on pricing for projects
Effectively manage customer expectations and timelines
Coordinating delivery of materials and equipment
Managing project budgets and any change orders
Project Scheduling and Support
Project Coordination and Communication
Project Monitoring and Reporting
Project Administration and Documentation
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Budget and Financial Assistance
Daily Tasks Include But Are Not Limited To:
Manage the schedule for assigned projects and assist the Senior Project Manager in managing schedules for larger projects, using Smartsheet
Upon construction start, receive daily EOD reports from Site Managers to communicate updates to customers and update Smartsheet as needed (via email)
Assist in keeping assigned metrics and project schedules up-to-date in Smartsheet
Prioritize and stay on critical path tasks to ensure project milestones are completed on time
Communicate with clients for on-boarding, project scheduling, and other related communication as needed
Work with assistant project manager to determine project permitting requirements and work with town and city departments to obtain project permits
Work with the Site Manager to facilitate site assessor collection of structural information needed for the third-party structural engineering team
Assess and oversee plan sets or submit plans for drafting of plans with internal and third-party design and engineering teams
Use the Purepoint energy quality check system to review plans at various stages to ensure stakeholder objectives are met
Follow up with internal team members and third-party partners on assigned project tasks and deadlines (pre-construction)
Assist in double-checking regularly to ensure projects are within budget
Assist with submitting project, utilities, and counter connection applications to the appropriate utility
Issue subcontractor agreements on a per-project basis
Assist with approving subcontractor payments and communicate with finance for project invoicing and change orders
Assist in forecasting revenue based on project schedules and payment milestones
Coordinate with team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
Participate in project team meetings to identify and resolve issues
Assist in submitting project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to quality standards
Assist in preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information
Assist in establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution
Facilitate change requests to ensure all parties are informed of the impact on schedule and budget
Assist in conducting post-project evaluations and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
Facilitate communication between the sales team, install teams, local permit office, utility distributors, and customers to ensure the installation of a quality system
Manage multiple different phases of projects to easily transition from one task to another (during pre-construction and overall)
Send weekly project updates to customers
Assist in preparing final closeout documents for customers and Solar Squad
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Computer Literate
Exceptional written skills
Highly organized
Ability to manage projects and tasks in a high pace environment
Proven experience in solar (project management a plus but any admin role accepted)
Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion
Basic understanding of project management methodologies
Able to complete projects in a timely manner, with guidance as needed
Minimum 2 years experience in solar
Experience in Smartsheet a plus
Some travel necessary
Location - Norwalk, CT or remote if not located in CT

The following benefits become available after the full time employee’s 90 day probationary period has ended
Vacation days - up to four weeks depending on years of service, with the ability of rolling over five days to the next year. For an employee that on- boards in January, two weeks of vacation time will be available after the probationary period.
Personal days - two days per year
Sick days - three days per year
Eight paid holidays per year
Summer Hours on Fridays - starting on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend and ending the Friday of Labor Day weekend, the office will close at 1 pm. Work permitting, employees will work four hours and be paid for the other four. Note: Employees understand that if there are deadlines to meet, they must be completed even if you have to work more than four hours
The following benefits are available immediately
401K - employees can start contributing upon employment. PurePoint matches up to 4% after one year of employment
Mileage reimbursement - PurePoint has a transit fleet for their employees, however should you need to use your own vehicle to travel on company business, you will be reimbursed for mileage. The mileage is calculated using the yearly standard IRS mileage rate. The reimbursement occurs the following month (IE: January reimbursement = February payout)
