Job Overview:
The Program Owner - Energy & Sustainability Analyst is responsible for the effective oversight, management, and execution of the utilities program. This role involves managing relationships with utility providers, third-party utility bill management counterparts, strategic industry partners, trade allies, utility service associations, regulatory allies, and other third-party relationships as needed. The Program Owner - Energy & Sustainability Analyst will also provide updates and opportunities for utility rebate programs and act as the central knowledge hub for all utility-related matters. Additionally, this role requires developing partnerships with internal stakeholders and field personnel to understand store operations and their cost and usage impacts, while collaborating with other departments to drive resource efficiencies.
Responsibilities:

  • Oversee third-party utility bill management operations for all stores, distribution centers, and regional offices.
  • Manage rebates and incentives programs, including vendor management and invoicing.
  • Perform data analysis and provide insights to the Energy & Sustainability and Operations teams.
  • Create and distribute relevant reports to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain the utilities database.
  • Develop and manage relationships with utility vendors.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including Construction, Engineering, Accounting, and Finance teams.
  • Complete the new store setup process for all locations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a focus on utilities or program management preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Excel; familiarity with Access, VBA, SQL, and Power BI is preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage priorities, competing agendas, and workflow on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Previous utility experience preferred.
  • Professionalism and excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Has experience building relationships with utility partners and setting up utility services.
  • Familiarity with reviewing contracts for new store utility services and ensuring compliance with organizational needs.
  • Experience with third-party utility management companies is helpful.
  • Action-oriented and capable of acting with urgency.
