Senior Settlements Analyst | Leeds - Hybrid | up to £60,000


Are you an experienced Energy Settlements Analyst looking for a role where you can own the settlements division?


PT Renewables are partnered with a growing energy business that’s going through a really interesting period of growth and change - and they’re looking for someone to take ownership of their Settlements function.


This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your days ticking boxes and processing confirmations. They’re bringing on lots of new business so they want someone to look and change how the settlements function operates.


You’ll be the senior person in the function, working with the wider team to make the whole operation more efficient, scalable and automated.


The Role

You’ll have responsibility for the day-to-day running of GB Settlements, making sure everything is accurate, controlled and delivered on time.

  • How can we improve the way settlements is done?
  • What can we automate?
  • How can we make better use of our data?
  • How should settlements work as new trading arrangements and business come onboard?
  • How can we work better with the Data/Engineering team?


You’ll also get involved across areas such as energy trading, BESS, tolling arrangements, MHHS and wider settlement activity, working closely with Trading, Finance and technical teams.


There’s plenty of BAU, but a significant part of the role is building and improving the function.


About You

They’re open-minded about the exact background. You could come from traditional energy settlements, trading operations, MHHS, BESS/battery settlements or another relevant part of the energy market.


Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Experience owning or improving settlements processes
  • Work experience from an energy supply, trading or other related energy business
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Good Excel skills
  • An interest in automation and technology
  • SQL or Python would be a bonus, but isn't essential
  • Enough seniority to take ownership and be the go-to person for settlements

  • Salary DOE but up to £60,000
  • Leeds - hybrid working, c3 times a week
