Solar Sales Rep
Job Description
Introduction:
We are a small locally owned Solar Design and Installation company. Our dynamic company
needs an energetic, motivated Sales Associate for our grid-tied division. We are looking for
someone who can develop and maintain relationships with customers, provide them with
information and guidance on solar energy options, conduct sales presentations and product
demonstrations to educate customers on the benefits of solar energy
Reports to: General Manager
Overview:
As a Sales Associate, you will play a key role in promoting and selling solar energy solutions to
residential and commercial customers. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with
potential clients, assess their energy needs, present customized solar solutions to help them
make the transition to clean and sustainable energy. This role requires a combination of sales
expertise, industry knowledge, and a passion for promoting renewable energy solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, in solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of solar technologies, energy efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Familiarity with local regulations, incentives, rebates and policies related to solar energy is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships.
- Understanding of available products and financing options offered in the market place.
- The availability to review proposals remotely or in person with potential customers based on their preference and geographic location (this is a must).
- Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, or a related field is desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM software is a plus
Duties:
- Leverage personal network, social media, door-knocking and other avenues to create sales opportunities
- Qualify and manage inbound solar leads
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to educate customers on the benefits of solar energy
- Prepare solar designs, proposals and acquisition options based on industry standard proposal software.
- Personally follow-up with customers to ensure their transition to solar goes as seamlessly as possible
- Collaborate with Management to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Prepare and deliver proposals, contracts, and other sales-related documents to customers
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in solar technology

Salary: $65-85K DOE
