FLSA: Non-Exempt (Paid Hourly Internship)
PAY: $20.00 an Hour
WORK SCHEDULE: Must work a minimum of 40 hours per week, schedule will be determined by the Safety Director according to business needs.

With seed-to-store control of all growing partner relations and supply chain operations, we provide a consistent source of fresh produce.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Sustainability Intern will work under the guidance of our Food Safety and Sustainability leadership team to support Prime Time's global sustainability initiatives, climate policy research, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) program development. This role provides practical experience in sustainability strategy, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, policy research, and program implementation across agricultural operations. Interns will gain valuable exposure to international sustainability frameworks, climate-related regulations, and sustainable agricultural practices while contributing to Prime Time's commitment to environmental stewardship and continuous improvement.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Conduct research on global sustainability challenges, climate policy developments, and emerging ESG trends relevant to agricultural operations
• Analyze international sustainability frameworks and regulations affecting food production and supply chains
• Research best practices in sustainable agriculture, carbon reduction, and environmental compliance
• Gather, organize, and analyze sustainability data using Excel and other analytical software • Translate complex sustainability topics, climate policies, and technical information into clear, actionable summaries for management
• Support development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across Prime Time's operations
• Assist in tracking and reporting sustainability metrics, environmental KPIs, and ESG performance indicators
• Help draft sustainability-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and program documentation
• Participate in environmental program activities and sustainability improvement projects
• Assist in preparation of sustainability reports and communications for stakeholders
• Assist in creating presentations, reports, and visual materials to communicate sustainability goals and progress
• Support preparation for sustainability-related audits and third-party certifications
• Support international development projects related to sustainable agricultural practices
• Accept designated, business-focused sustainability projects to research, propose solutions, and present findings
WORK HOURS & INTERNSHIP BENEFITS:
• Summer internship: Approximately 10-12 weeks (June - August)
• Full-time schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday • Work schedule: Typically 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (may vary based on field/project schedules)

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of bachelor's degree program in Sustainability, Environmental Studies, International Relations, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Agricultural Sustainability, or related field
• Demonstrated academic interest in global sustainability challenges, climate policy, ESG, or international development
RELATED COMPETENCIES:
• Detail-oriented, organized, thorough and accurate.
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with ability to synthesize complex information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate technical sustainability concepts into clear summaries
• Comfortable working with data, research, and analysis
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and visualization
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level and working conditions are similar to those for an administrative office. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions outside weather conditions; extreme cold or heat.
