Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly capable and collaborative Software Development Manager to lead and support our Analytics Platform Team (APT), which is responsible for building and maintaining advanced analytics capabilities across the organization. This role will have full administrative and HR responsibility for APT and provide administrative leadership and facilitation for the Data Science team, ensuring alignment with Product Management and smooth collaboration between both teams.

The ideal candidate will thrive working with highly skilled, self-motivated teams, focusing on enablement, coordination, and facilitation rather than directive oversight. This position requires exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage geographically dispersed teams across multiple time zones (North America Pacific Time to Athens, Greece), with many team members working remotely.


Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Management

  • Provide full administrative and HR leadership for the Analytics Platform Team.
  • Collaborate closely with the APT Technical Lead to deliver on the vision.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support career development, performance management, and team engagement.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between the Analytics Platform Team and the Data Science team.
  • Facilitate planning, coordination, and ceremonies for Data Science initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment between analytics development and Product Management priorities.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee resource planning, workload balancing, and project coordination.
  • Drive process improvements to enhance team efficiency and delivery.
  • Maintain clear communication across teams and stakeholders.

Strategic Enablement

  • Support the enablement of Data Science work through platform capabilities.
  • Advocate for technical excellence and scalability in analytics solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience managing software development teams.
  • Exposure to advanced analytics, data platforms, or data science environments.
  • Experience managing remote and globally distributed teams.
