The opportunity:
Pollination is seeking an Associate or Associate Director, to join our Carbon & Nature Projects team to help support the commercial and financing aspects of some of the most ambitious nature-based solutions in the world.. This role will support the project development business unit of the Pollination Group, which originates, invests and develops opportunities and partnerships globally. Some notable projects the team are developing include the Rai Matak community agroforestry program in Timor Leste; and Delta Blue Carbon – a large-scale mangrove restoration project in the Sindh province of Pakistan.
This role will be critical to the origination, development and financing of iconic nature-based solutions projects across the Asia Pacific region.
Responsibilities:
Project Development and Investment
- Support on project origination, investment analysis, project development and project capital raise activities, including transaction management and coordination.
 - Lead elements of project financing and capital raise activites, including transaction coordination
 - Build and review detailed financial models, prepare investment recommendations, and draft internal investment papers.
 
Investor Relations and Market Insights
- Develop investor material, including project teasers, investor pitchbooks, and information memorandum.
 - Assess emerging technologies, methodologies, new entrants and industry trends and how these affect the team’s origination and project development strategies.
 
Operational and strategic support
- Contribute to project operations, strategy formulation, communications, and reporting
 - Assist in budget oversight and performance tracking
 
What do you need to apply?
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field;
 - Proven experience (ideally) in project finance, transactions, corporate development, infrastructure development or engineering, ideally within the resources or nature-based carbon sectors;
 - Strong proficiency in financial modelling, report writing, and project management;
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate complexity into clarity.
 - Proactive, organised and commercially minded, with an understanding of climate and sustainability concepts.
 - Extensive knowledge of MS Office applications; and
 - An analytical and commercial mindset, with an understanding of key climate change concepts that impact on the delivery of successful projects.
 
Highly desirable:
- Knowledge of carbon finance, methodologies and policy frameworks (VCS, Gold Standard, ACR, ACCU and/or JCM)
 - Familiarity with nature or climate related sectors such as forestry, biodiversity, or ecosystem restoration.
 
Qualities:

Location/Eligibility:
Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Perth. (Singapore considered for exceptional candidates).
Eligibility: Must hold the right to work in Australia.
