Role Description

As a Research Intern at PolicyHood, you will support research on climate policy, ESG, and carbon markets, contributing to policy briefs, reports, and data-driven insights. This is a 3-month, full-time remote role (40 hours/week, 5 days/week) requiring strong analytical and writing skills, with a focus on India’s evolving climate and sustainability landscape. Candidates who can read and write Telugu are strongly preferred.


What You’ll Do

Conduct in-depth research on public policy, ESG frameworks, and carbon markets

Support development of policy briefs, reports, and white papers

Assist in data collection, cleaning, and analysis (qualitative & quantitative)

Track regulatory developments and synthesize insights into actionable outputs

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on consulting and research projects

Contribute to AI-assisted research and knowledge-building initiatives


Who We’re Looking For

Students or recent graduates in Public Policy, Economics, Environmental Studies, Political Science, or related fields

Strong research, analytical, and writing skills

Familiarity with ESG, sustainability, or public policy (preferred)

Experience with tools like Excel, R, Python, or data visualization tools is a plus

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
