Role Description The Volunteer Video Creator and Editor will support the organization’s mission by producing compelling video content that highlights projects, stories, and educational initiatives. This is a full-time, remote volunteering role responsible for planning, scripting, filming (where applicable), and editing videos for social media, websites, presentations, and educational campaigns. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with program leads to understand key messages, organizing raw footage, creating simple motion graphics, and ensuring brand consistency across video assets. The role also involves optimizing video formats for different platforms, managing a basic content calendar, and incorporating feedback from stakeholders. The volunteer will contribute creative ideas for visual storytelling to engage audiences on energy, climate change, and innovation topics.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Video Production and Multimedia for creating engaging visual stories.
- Proficiency in Video Editing and Video Post-Production, including color correction, sound editing, and exporting for multiple platforms.
- Experience with Motion Graphics to enhance videos with titles, captions, and simple animations.
- Familiarity with common editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools).
- Strong visual storytelling abilities and an eye for composition, pacing, and clarity.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Interest in or openness to learning about energy, climate change, and development issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Good communication and collaboration skills to work with a diverse, international team.
