Senior Vice President Finance

As part of their UK and European strategic plan, the CEO is building a best-in-class finance team to business partner and grow the business.
The SVP Finance UK is a critical hire with responsibility to lead the finance function, oversee financial activities and strategy and contribute as an active member of the Global Offshore Wind and UK SLT. The role reports report directly to the Board and will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the operation.
Duties include:
- As part of SLT contribute to shaping the strategy and direction of the business whilst communicating financial performance.
- Develop and implement the financial strategy and framework model for the business, including budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
- Closely manage cash flow and liquidity.
- Identify and manage financial risks associated with offshore wind and battery storage projects, including cash flow, investments, and liabilities.
- Oversee enterprise risk management, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
- Provide input for development of Investment committee materials and evaluation of investment opportunities to ensure the company’s growth.
- Support and lead where necessary on third party funding initiatives.
- Oversee design and management of financial analysis and reporting framework, including implementation of financial processes and controls.
- Oversee preparation of financial reports, statutory reporting, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Maintain oversight of recharge agreements between Group entities
- Develop close interface with Group CFO office ensuring alignment on overall functional strategy and framework
- Ensure timely response on ad-hoc requests from Group HQ and planned financial audits
- Engage with auditors to develop mutually suitable plan for timely and effective completion of all audit tasks and activities.
- Ensure all business teams have suitable business partnering resources and support from Finance
- Maintain oversight of tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
- Oversee banking & treasury activities, provide approval in line with established DoA.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and implementation of unit systems, policies and procedures.
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/CPA) with a strong technical grounding in an accountancy practice and then 10+ years of experience in businesses that are growing quickly or going through change. You will have strong and current technical accounting knowledge with a flair for presenting complicated data in an easy to digest way. Ability to manage multiple complex projects with conflicting priorities. The role will be predominantly office based in London, with flexibility.
