Salary: $180k-$200k + bonus
Piper Maddox have been assigned to a leading US renewable energy IPP. This Director will be a core member of the Investments group, reporting directly to the Vice President of Investments and helping lead a team of Investment Managers and Investment Associates.
The Investment Director will support growth by leading the charge on underwriting and approval process for equity investments into utility-scale projects serving both utilities and data centers.
What you will do:
- Oversee strategic and economic analyses for project acquisitions, development, and construction decisions, including financial model review and project risk assessment.
- Lead the evaluation of prospective investments by managing due diligence, assessing project risks and economic analyses, and supporting deal structuring, negotiation, and transaction execution with key counterparties.
- Lead the preparation of investment committee memoranda and Board presentations for greenfield and M&A investment approvals.
- Own and maintain the enterprise-wide corporate financial model, leading portfolio and platform-level analyses to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation.
What you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, project finance, or corporate development within the energy or infrastructure sectors; with 2-5 years of experience specifically with renewable energy project development or power generation
- Extensive experience in M&A transaction execution, including due diligence of infrastructure projects
