An established and rapidly growing energy infrastructure developer is expanding its German project delivery team and is looking to appoint an experienced Head of Grid or Grid Connection Manager.


The business is active in the development and delivery of large-scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) and has a significant portfolio of projects progressing across Germany. With strong financial backing and a growing development pipeline, the company is entering an exciting phase of expansion and is investing in experienced project delivery professionals.

Job Title: Head of Grid

Salary: €100, 000 - €140, 000 + Bonus

Location: North Germany - Hybrid


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the German grid connection strategy across Harmony's BESS portfolio.
  • Manage relationships with TSOs, DSOs and grid stakeholders.
  • Oversee grid connection applications, studies, offers, agreements and milestones.
  • Provide strategic input into site selection and project development.
  • Lead and develop the German grid team.
  • Manage external grid consultants and technical advisors.
  • Identify grid constraints, risks and opportunities across the portfolio.
  • Support commercial, technical and investment decisions.
  • Ensure projects meet relevant German grid codes and technical requirements.
  • Work closely with development, engineering, project management and commercial teams.


Candidate Profile

  • Significant experience in German grid connections, ideally within BESS, renewables or power infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of the German electricity network and TSO/DSO processes.
  • Experience managing grid connection projects and external stakeholders.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to build a growing team.
  • Fluent German and strong English.
