Base pay range$170,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Assistant General Counsel – Renewable Energy Projects
Join a fast-growing renewable energy platform driving distributed generation solar, storage, solar-plus-storage, and solar-plus-EV-charging projects nationwide. We’re looking for an Assistant General Counsel to lead legal execution across project acquisition, construction, financing, and long-term ownership.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and negotiate complex project agreements: PPAs, leases, EPC, O&M, interconnection, and acquisition documents.
 - Advise on project finance structures—construction debt, term debt, tax equity partnerships, and IRA-related credits.
 - Manage due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and portfolio sales.
 - Provide strategic counsel to senior management, balancing legal risk and business goals.
 - Oversee day-to-day transactional work, develop form documentation, and manage outside counsel.
 
What We’re Looking For
- Active U.S. bar membership; J.D. from an accredited law school.
 - 3–6 years of project finance, renewable energy, or infrastructure experience (law firm or in-house).
 - Solar/distributed generation experience strongly preferred; real estate and corporate finance a plus.
 - Strong communicator, able to handle multiple complex transactions in a fast-paced environment.
 - Based in Baltimore - 3 days on-site - relocation packed offered
