About The Role

We’re looking for a motivated professional to join Pinnacle’s Sustainability team. This role will play a key part in strengthening our climate reporting, climate risk and sustainable finance capabilities for Pinnacle and Affiliates. This role will contribute to scalable reporting systems, climate-related data analysis and broader ESG strategy execution.

Key Responsibilities

Climate & ESG Reporting

  • Support climate‑related disclosure readiness (ISSB/AASB S2/TCFD/CSRD) and sustainability reporting for global entities and product types.
  • Conduct financial, climate and emissions‑related data analysis.
  • Help build efficient, repeatable workflows, templates and data processes.

Climate Risk & Sustainable Finance

  • Support climate risk assessments across Pinnacle and Affiliates.
  • Analyse climate-related metrics including financed emissions, carbon intensity, portfolio alignment indicators and climate scenario outputs.
  • Assist in assessing transition and physical climate risk exposures and identifying resilience-building opportunities.
  • Support analysis of portfolio decarbonisation strategies and climate-related value creation opportunities.

Sustainability Strategy & Process Improvement

  • Support development of scalable ESG tools, systems and reporting efficiencies.
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and streamline sustainability processes.

Human Rights, Modern Slavery & Supply‑Chain Sustainability

  • Contribute to modern slavery risk assessments, due‑diligence activities and supplier engagement.
  • Support development of supply‑chain sustainability documentation and processes.

Affiliate Engagement & Research

  • Support Affiliates in meeting global sustainability regulations and support Responsible Investment expectations by monitoring and guiding emerging standards, market trends and regulatory shifts.
  • Develop insights and reporting materials to support Affiliates integration of climate-related financial risks and opportunities into strategy.
  • Deliver clear guidance, insights and resources to help Affiliates meet rising sustainability requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Sustainability, Environmental Science or related discipline.
  • Experience or academic exposure in sustainability, climate risk, responsible investment, sustainable finance or related fields.
  • Knowledge of ISSB, AASB S2, TCFD or related climate disclosure frameworks.
  • Understanding of sustainable finance and climate-related financial risks and opportunities from an investment perspective.
  • Strong analytical capability with Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to research, analyse and solve complex sustainability challenges both independently and collaboratively.
  • Naturally curious with a strong interest sustainability, climate change and investment markets.
  • Interested in building a long-term career in sustainability.
  • Full/unrestricted working rights on an ongoing basis in Australia.
