Shape the Future of Climate Tech with Phlair!

Fossil fuels have powered our economy for decades—at the cost of pollution and a changing climate. At Phlair, we’re reversing that equation. With our cost-efficient, scalable electrochemical Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology, we pull CO₂ from the air to either store it permanently or repurpose it into CO₂-negative chemicals. Join us in enabling a carbon-negative future.

Why We’re Different?

We’ve developed a breakthrough hydrolizer for acid/base regeneration, enabling scalable CO₂ capture. With partners like Frontier Climate, Stripe, and Shopify, we’re on track to make a global impact.

Our Project Dawn is our flagship initiative, setting the foundation to scale our technology and remove millions of tons of CO₂ from the atmosphere. We're one of the only seven DAC companies with a proven offtake agreement. Phlair is poised to become a technology leader, leveraging renewable energy and low-cost DAC to provide clean energy solutions that go beyond carbon removal.

Your Mission at Phlair

  • Executing engineering projects focused on process optimization and testing new sub-systems
  • Planning, designing, procuring, building, and integrating new systems into our pilot plant and testing infrastructure
  • Driving continuous improvement across our operations

Your targets are your North Star. Nothing is set in stone in our world, we adapt fast, but we always hit our goals.

What You Bring To The Team

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree (completed or in final stages) in Chemical, Process, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent
  • Foundational knowledge in chemical engineering: absorption, solid separation, electrochemistry
  • Hands-on experience working with process equipment

Essential Traits

  • Bias for action — You prototype, test, and ship while others are still planning
  • Thrive in fast-paced environments — You're energized by ambitious timelines and meaningful challenges
  • Team over ego — You care more about collective wins than being right
  • Ownership mindset — You take problems end-to-end and find solutions resourcefully
  • Excellence as standard — Mistakes happen and we learn from them, but mediocrity doesn't fly here

Great to have, but optional

  • Experience with pilot or demonstrator-scale plants
  • Knowledge of electronics, industrial control systems, or PLC programming
  • Experience handling chemicals (acids, bases, etc.)
