Senior Financial Analyst
About Us
pHathom is a climate technology company based in Atlantic Canada, developing a novel pathway for biomass carbon capture and marine storage (BECCMS) through Accelerated Weathering of Limestone (AWL). By capturing CO2 from coastal biomass plants and safely storing it in the ocean as stable bicarbonates, we are pioneering a durable, science-led approach to carbon dioxide removal (CDR) that creates economic, environmental, and social value.
As a startup, pHathom is focused not only on advancing its technology, but also on building the business with the discipline, structure, and professionalism required for long-term success. As the company grows, sound infrastructure, consistent practices, compliance, and financial rigor will be essential to supporting a sustainable path forward. The introduction of best practices, strong business systems, and a continued commitment to core values are key to pHathom's journey as both a technology innovator and a growing organization.
About The Role
pHathom is seeking an analytical, business-minded Senior Financial Analyst to help build the financial infrastructure of a rapidly scaling climate tech company. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working in a greenfield environment, developing structure and systems, SOPs, reporting discipline, and financial practices needed to support sustainable growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing a regular financial cadence, strengthening forecasting and reporting processes, introducing practical controls and best practices, and translating financial data into clear business insight for leadership. Support and mentorship will be available from pHathom's Fractional CFO, with the intention that this role grows with the company into a broader internal senior finance leadership position.
What You Will Do
Join a purpose-driven team committed to advancing clean technology and creating a positive impact on the environment. At pHathom, your work will be visible, meaningful, and closely connected to the company's growth and long-term success. This role offers autonomy, flexibility, mentorship, and the opportunity to help build strong financial practices while growing with a scaling Atlantic Canadian company. You will contribute to work that matters, in an environment grounded in respect, collaboration, and positive social impact.
We offer a competitive compensation package and a commitment to maintaining a healthy work-life balance, along with building an inclusive and diverse team. We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, and welcome those who wish to self-identify as members of equity-seeking groups.
We thank all applicants for their interest. We will carefully consider every application and contact those selected for further discussion.
