Petco is looking for a motivated and proactive Buyback Centre Liaison Officer to support the implementation of our Liquid Board Packaging (LBP) collection programme in Limpopo Province

Contract: Fixed-term contract until 31 December 2028


? KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct Buyback Centre (BBC) visits and LBP activations

• Promote and increase LBP collection and recycling

• Identify new collection sites and opportunities

• Support BBCs, collectors and waste pickers

• Monitor collection volumes and site activities

• Maintain accurate stakeholder and project records

• Report on activities, challenges and progress


? REQUIREMENTS

  • 3-year Degree/Diploma in Environmental Studies or a similar/relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the waste sector
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
  • Willingness to travel throughout Limpopo Province
  • Proficiency in English and/or Sepedi, Xitsonga or Tshivenda
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation and organisational skills
  • Good computer, database, data capturing and analysis skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
