Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Support multiple NPI and CPI programs through complete design and development of electrical wire harness systems.
- Develop and maintain 2D/3D harness models, including connectors, clips, brackets, coverings, and associated documentation.
- Define electrical and harness requirements such as conductor sizing, shielding, EMI/EMC considerations, insulation types, and routing constraints.
- Perform packaging and integration activities with various vehicle sub-systems to ensure proper harness fit, function, and serviceability.
- Select electrical and mechanical harness components in alignment and engineering guidelines.
- Support engineering change management activities, including documentation control, part updates, and release processes.
- Drive cross-functional alignment by collaborating with manufacturing, quality, CAE/testing teams, suppliers, and other engineering stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Required Skills
- 3 years of Experience working with electrical wire harness design and development for heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Hands-on experience creating 2D/3D harness layouts, routings.
- Experience with conductor sizing, circuit protection, shielding, and EMI/EMC requirements.
- Familiarity with vehicle-level system packaging and harness integration constraints.
- Experience using harness design tools (Creo and Team center).
- Experience working with engineering change management systems and structured documentation workflows.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
Preferred Skills
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring standards, and harness manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of standards, industry guidelines, and design best practices (preferred).
- Good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
