Position Summary

The Senior Controls Engineer will lead the electrical and controls engineering portion of assigned projects, from design through commissioning. This role requires advanced knowledge of combustion equipment controls, the ability to mentor junior engineers, and the skill to deliver innovative, reliable solutions for global customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design combustion control systems to meet project milestones and specifications.
  • Create and review control panel drawings, schematics, P&IDs, and wiring diagrams.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell, Siemens, or other platforms as specified).
  • Select and validate third-party instrumentation and controls equipment.
  • Provide timely technical assistance and solutions to internal teams and customers.
  • Lead field commissioning for assigned projects.
  • Prepare engineering documents for customer submittals.
  • Maintain accurate product and project records.
  • Deliver customer training on control systems.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced Controls Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience as a Controls Engineer; global project experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in cabinet/subpanel layout, control schematics, P&IDs, and wiring drawings.
  • Strong PLC/HMI programming skills; Rockwell, Siemens, and/or E-Plan preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO 1357 standards preferred.
  • Ability to remain composed and decisive in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication, training, and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.
