About the Role
Peak Energy is seeking a Global Supply Manager to own the sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management of key mechanical components across our product portfolio—including structures, enclosures, thermal systems, and high‑precision assemblies.

In this role, you will drive supplier selection and contract execution, manage cost and delivery performance, and partner cross‑functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program teams to ensure mechanical components meet product requirements and timelines. This is a strategic, high‑impact role that will help define our supply chain as we transition from prototype builds to scaled manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Source and manage suppliers for key components including enclosures, sheet metal, thermal systems, HV & LV distribution

Drive the supplier selection process with Engineering and Manufacturing stakeholders based on quality, cost, delivery, and scalability

Negotiate contracts, pricing, lead times, and commercial terms with global suppliers

Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to influence DFM, design changes, and part specifications early in the development cycle

Support NPI builds, prototype programs, and high‑volume manufacturing transitions by ensuring supplier readiness

Resolve supply chain bottlenecks and lead escalation with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery

Monitor supplier KPIs (cost, quality, OTD) and lead business reviews to continuously improve performance

Partner with Supplier Quality and Supplier Industrialization Engineering to validate process capability and mitigate risk

Own cost management strategies for mechanical components, including should‑cost modeling and continuous improvement initiatives

Travel to supplier sites as needed (expected ~20–30%)

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of experience in global supply management, strategic sourcing, or commodity management—preferably in energy, automotive, hardware, or manufacturing

Strong knowledge of mechanical component sourcing (e.g., sheet metal, thermal, precision machined parts, enclosures) and associated manufacturing processes

Proven track record of supplier negotiation, cost reduction, and commercial agreement execution

Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality requirements

Exceptional communication, organization, and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–20%)

Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation

Eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with contract manufacturers

Familiarity with energy storage systems, batteries, or complex electromechanical products

Knowledge of ERP and PLM systems (e.g., NetSuite, Arena)

Experience working in a startup or scale‑up environment

The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, with actual pay varying based on work location, experience, and skills.
