Responsibilities

  • Drafting, negotiating and providing commercial expertise on large-scale power generation equipment supply and service agreements for wind, solar, storage, and transmission projects, including:
    • Turbine Supply Agreements, Battery Energy Storage Agreements, Module Supply Agreements, Transformer Supply Agreements, Breaker Purchase Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Task Orders, Change Orders, Term Sheets/Reservation Agreements, and non-disclosure/confidentiality agreements.
  • Coordinating internal and external stakeholder communication to ensure a single, consistent voice and serving as the main commercial contact for supplier communication and issue escalation.
  • Developing, managing and strengthening strategic partnerships with Patterns supplier community; identifying and resolving problematic provisions by consulting with internal stakeholders.
  • Participating in project-related meetings to ensure contract understanding and facilitate hand-off and knowledge transfer from pre-award to post-award (execution) phases.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders (legal, insurance, tax, engineering, project controls, document control, operations/asset management) to ensure contractual requirements adhere to Patterns standards and project requirements.
  • Ensuring proper governance approvals are obtained before contract execution.
  • Maintaining contract documents to be accurate, current and consistent; incorporating lessons learned where applicable.
  • Providing guidance to team members on contract terms and conditions.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and implementing improvements.
  • Maintaining contracts in the EPC groups contracts management software (InEight).
  • Other special projects and duties as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience - BA/BS degree or equivalent. Minimum of ten years of direct major capital procurement contract management and administration experience in a fast-paced corporate or large-scale infrastructure project environment. Renewables industry experience highly preferred. Experience in developing and supporting large-value capital procurement contracts. Familiarity with complex business agreements and the ability to read, understand, and identify pertinent information in agreements.
  • Additional Requirements - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ability to read, understand, summarize and draft complex contract terms; self-starter with ability to research and learn new concepts; strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication; good organizational, planning and implementation skills; able to coordinate in a team-first environment; demonstrated success in a matrix organization; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; strong collaboration with all levels of personnel; good time management; high integrity; willingness to travel to project sites and corporate locations.
  • Technical Skills - Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat; experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems; InEight or Procore a plus.

The starting pay range for this role is $103,000 - $139,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the range based on location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Patterns compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees.
