Earth Finance is hiring Summer Interns to support our growing business. We will be hiring 3 positions and these roles will be based in Seattle, WA or New York, NY.


We are looking for Masters Candidates with 3+ years of professional work experience in corporate sustainability strategy, financing strategy, water and nature strategy, impact reporting, spatial finance, and geospatial technology. Prior experience working in these sectors is a plus. We will also consider candidates with comparable skills & experience.


What you’ll gain:

  • Acquire a deep understanding of how to effectively drive large scale change using sustainable corporate, financing, and policy tools to help mitigate corporate risk and maximize sustainable business growth.


What you’ll do:


  • Build sustainability and financing models to understand the business impact of new technology adoption and business model innovation
  • Further methodology of measuring and quantifying co-benefits of climate initiatives and related investments
  • Support the development of impact reporting initiatives
  • Support custom research as we build client-facing deliverables.
  • Work with the Sustainability teams at client organizations to align financial, expense, and corporate reporting with climate transition goals and objectives.



Skills you’ll need to be successful in the role:


  • Passion for sustainable business solutions and experience (academic and/or professional) in sustainability, corporate strategy, financial analysis and modeling, climate policy, and /or geospatial technology
  • Experience designing, building and launching new business models (including circular and regenerative business models).
  • Comfortable with asking “why” in the ambiguity of climate data and business uncertainty.
  • An interest in learning how to apply first principles analysis and boundary conditions to problem solving.
  • Strong research skills and ability to quickly distill industry reports, policy news, and scholarly research into relevant context.
  • Competent and comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite and Google products.
  • Comfort in agentic environments
  • Clear and direct communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas from a variety of disciplines into actionable client take aways in various written and visual formats.


Compensation and Benefits:


  • This is a 10-week summer internship paying $50 - $60 / hour. This role is not eligible for overtime.
  • Interns will receive June 19th and July 4th as paid company holidays (if your internship spans those dates)
