The opportunity

As our next Manager in Climate Policy, Risk and Resilience, you’ll be at the centre of how organisations navigate the climate transition by translating global trends into clear, strategic action. You’ll take complex inputs and translate them into insights that senior leaders can utilise, and operational teams can implement.

You’ll work where climate meets strategy: helping clients understand what’s coming, what it means for their business, and what they should do next. From transition risk and decarbonisation pathways to physical impacts and resilience planning, your work will directly influence how organisations respond and compete in a rapidly changing world.

But just as importantly, you’ll help define how this work gets done. You’ll have real scope to shape Pangolin’s approach — evolving methodologies, building sharper scenario analysis, and pushing how climate insights are turned into commercial advantage. If you see a better way to connect policy, science and strategy, you’ll have the platform to build it.

What we are looking for

  • 5-10+ years of senior experience in climate policy, climate risk, environmental economics, climate-related strategy consulting, climate-finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in climate scenario analysis, including familiarity with IPCC pathways, IEA, NGFS scenarios or equivalent global climate models, with a deep understanding of assumptions, divergences, economics implications and what is material for a given sector.
  • Extensive knowledge of international and domestic policies (e.g. emissions standards, trading schemes, border adjustments, carbon markets) and the ability to understand their impacts to market dynamics.
  • Experience with transition planning, climate policy analysis or carbon market dynamics.
  • Ability to interpret macro-environmental information policy, technology, markets and physical climate risks and translate them into business implications.
