WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Work closely with colleagues responsible for digital, corporate sustainability, trade and environmental policies, supporting them by collecting, organising and sharing relevant EU policy developments, stakeholder updates and business-relevant information.
  • Follow selected battery-related policy topics not otherwise covered by the team, including energy storage, renewable energy integration, automotive electrification, battery manufacturing, market access and related EU policy developments.
  • Contribute to strategic and geopolitical intelligence by tracking developments affecting critical raw material supply chains, industrial competitiveness, international partnerships and energy demand linked to battery and data centre deployment.
  • Follow industry association meetings, policy events, think tank discussions and stakeholder briefings, in coordination with the topic managers in the team.
  • Assist with the preparation of briefing materials, presentations, policy updates, stakeholder mappings and internal information distribution.
  • Provide general team support for government affairs tasks linked to Panasonic’s strategic priorities in Europe.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Motivated team member with a degree in European Affairs, Political Science, International Relations, Law, or a related field.
  • Previous internships or experience in EU affairs, energy, battery-related policy or related areas are a plus.
  • Good understanding of the functioning of the European institutions and the EU legislative process.
  • Strong interest in batteries, electric mobility, industrial policy, sustainability and the green transition.
  • Ability to analyse policy and regulatory developments and translate them into clear, concise and business-relevant insights.
  • Interest in geopolitical developments, EU–Japan relations and international partnerships linked to battery supply chains and industrial competitiveness.
  • Strong research, drafting and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proactive and well-organised, with the ability to manage tasks independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments and cultures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is mandatory; any other European language and/or Japanese is a plus.
  • Able to handle confidential information with discretion.


WHAT WE OFFER

  • Monthly allowance (1.226,52 € gross- in line with contrat d’immersion profesionnelle - CIP ) + meal vouchers
  • Six-month contract under a CIP arrangement, extendable to up to twelve months.
