Proposed Salary Range: $44,600 - $73,590
Work Location: Onsite (No Remote/Hybrid)

The Warehouse Supervisor, supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products by use of conveyors, cranes, hoists, or industrial trucks by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receives and records new inventory as it is delivered; inspects and stores it according to policy.
  • Conducts physical inventory, compares results to computerized inventory, and reconciles any differences.
  • Ensures that all stock is stored in correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Transfers inventory to trucks for delivery in a timely manner and according to schedule.
  • Studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products, and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities.
  • Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of material or products.
  • Verifies or prepares records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders.
  • Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interprets job orders to workers and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintains time and production records.
  • Performs activities of workers supervised.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises 4 to 10 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from an accredited College or Technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or four years Transportation and Logistics experience in a supervisory capacity.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be computer literate. Must be working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, and power point).
Knowledge of HWY905 and Oracle preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
