Tool Crib Procurement Intern (Part-Time)
Proposed Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00
Shift: 1st Shift |Part-Time (Max 20 hours per week)
Location: Onsite
Tool Crib Procurement Intern coordinates activities involved with procuring spare parts, safety items, supplies, etc.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Receives shipments/packing lists & ensures correct items/quantities match with purchase order.
- Prepare spare parts to be correctly identified & entered into inventory system, then put away.
- Issues spare parts from the system and confirm the count in the system against the physical count.
- Conducts cycle counts & reports any discrepancies to the supervisor after taking necessary corrective actions.
- Review drawings as necessary & compare to corresponding spare parts to ensure conformity.
- Reviews Reorder Report to determine any spare parts that need reordering, based on Min/Max set for each part.
- Monitor & Review part usage to adjust Min/Max levels & identify slow moving stale inventory.
- Confer with suppliers as needed to obtain product/service information such as price, availability, & lead times.
- Assist in preparing spare part requisitions & obtaining necessary approvals as needed.
- Assist production employees as needed when they come to the Tool Crib for parts.
- Assist in maintaining the Tool Crib by keeping it clean & orderly while maintaining a safe work environment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Must be actively seeking a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Computer literate. Ability to operate office machines such as fax, typewriter, calculator, copier and computer terminal. General understanding of machinery equipment, parts, & terminology (bearings, clutches, dies, etc.)
