Details
The Project Director will be appointed on a contract basis by the Ministry of Climate Change (MOCC) for a development project based in Islamabad. The role requires strong leadership, planning, coordination, and implementation of project activities in line with government procedures and project objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the assigned project from planning to execution
- Oversee project implementation, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate with government departments, donors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Manage project budget, procurement, and reporting
- Supervise project team and consultants
- Ensure compliance with government rules and donor requirements
- Prepare progress reports for the Ministry and competent authorities
- Monitor project risks and implement mitigation measures
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field (Management, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Public Administration, or related)
- Minimum 10+ years professional experience
- Proven experience managing government or donor-funded projects
- Strong leadership, coordination, reporting, and communication skills
- Familiarity with PPRA rules and government project management procedures (preferred)
- Competitive PPS-10 government project pay
- Leadership role in national climate/environment project
