We are looking for an approachable and motivated individual with excellent interpersonal and organisation skills to both assist and lead in delivering our carbon-conscious education programmes for UK university students in Belgium, Brussels during summer 2026. The programmes last 1-2 weeks, with students given the opportunity to explore the public and private sector within Brussels and how organisations are working on key sustainable development projects within the city and beyond. Upon completion of our programme, students will have gained understanding of climate change and carbon emissions in everyday life and developed key personal and professional skills which will help them grow into more confident, well-rounded and employable graduates.

As a Programme Delivery Coordinator, Your Responsibilities Will Include

Programme Delivery

  • Assist and lead the delivery of our Sustainable Global Experience programmes in Belgium, Brussels ensuring a safe, inclusive and enjoyable participant experience.
  • Manage bookings and reservations, liaising with suppliers for final confirmations before programme commencement.
  • Complete Carbon Literacy training to learn how to successfully facilitate virtual and in-person Carbon Literacy Training.
  • Weekly reporting to the Head of WIL on programme delivery; highlighting successes, unresolved issues, learning points or roadblocks.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies during programme delivery at short notice. Escalate for support and feedback wherever possible. Please note this could involve out of hours working as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to all participants before, during and after the programme delivery.
  • Support and communicate effectively with delivery colleagues ensuring workloads and responsibilities are evenly split across the staff supporting the programme.
  • Ensure the implementation of our policies and practices, in particular in line with GDPR.

Essential

  • Right to work in Belgium
  • Excellent local knowledge of Brussels
  • University student or graduate `
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English (French, or another European language is considered an asset)
  • Ability to independently problem solve and proactively seek resolutions
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
  • Demonstrable global mindset and interest in other cultures
  • Natural ability to balance professionalism and familiarity

Desirable

  • First Aid Trained
  • Experience in delivering projects or events
  • Experience coordinating groups of people
  • Proven interest in climate change and sustainability
  • Full training on the first programme by an experienced member of our team
  • Delivery support by one to two other senior colleagues on each programme (depending on the group size) who have delivered the programme previously.
  • Carbon Literacy Certification (if not already accredited)
  • 40 hours maximum per week
  • Flexible hours – some weekend work required but the time can be taken back in lieu of non-delivery weeks.
  • Contract Length: 25th May 2026 – 7 th August 2026 (11 weeks)
  • Salary: EUR 28,000 – 32,000 pro rata (depending on experience)
