We are looking for a ROC Operations Specialist to help optimise the performance, reliability and lifecycle of critical power‑generation assets. In this role, you will deliver proactive monitoring, remote diagnostics and technical troubleshooting to support site operators, ensuring safe, efficient and uninterrupted asset operations.
This position follows an 8‑day on / 6‑day off roster, followed by 7 nights on / 7 days off, and is based at our Kewdale ROC facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Monitor events and alarms to prevent equipment failures. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on remote power generators.
- Assess equipment health using real‑time machine data.
- Improve asset performance through predictive maintenance, data analysis and OEM recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to enhance availability, reliability and efficiency; support root‑cause investigations.
- Recommend corrective actions to protect production, safety and asset life and provide asset data for analysis and reporting.
- Guide Power Station Operators to optimise generation performance and meet client and contractual requirements.
- Coordinate short‑ and medium‑term solutions using Pacific Energy’s thermal, renewable and field service resources.
- Act as first responder for after‑hours events and manage external stakeholders.
- Electrical or Mechanical trade background preferred, with power generation experience.
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting capability.
- Experience optimising power systems for peak performance.
- Proficiency with data analytics tools and familiarity with diverse generation technologies.
- High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under time‑critical conditions.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
- Solid understanding of operational safety requirements.
