Operation & Compliance Analyst
The Role
This role is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, efficient and compliant operation of Pacific Blue’s Australian operating fleet, coordinating operational planning, compliance activities, reporting and key stakeholder requirements across the Operations function. Working closely with Production, Finance, Procurement, Compliance and external partners, the role supports operational forecasting, asset management planning, O&M contract coordination, compliance obligations and reporting, while overseeing landholder registers and payments across operational sites.
This is a full-time hybrid position based in Melbourne.
What you’ll be responsible for:
- Operations Planning & Cost Management – Coordinate quarterly Opex and Minor Capex forecasting, support the annual Asset Management Planning cycle, and maintain relevant operational cost and asset data.
- Operational Systems & Administration – Manage and maintain key Operations systems, including job-based training, contractor management and inventory management platforms, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and available to frontline operations.
- O&M Coordination & Procurement – Support the Production Team with O&M contractual meetings, including performance reporting and meeting documentation, and coordinate Operations requirements within the Procure-to-Pay process.
- Generation Compliance Management – Own and maintain the Generation compliance framework, including policies, procedures and obligation registers covering applicable legislation, planning requirements, licences, permits and connection agreements.
- Compliance Monitoring & Assurance – Monitor compliance obligations, due dates and required activities, maintain supporting evidence and documentation, and coordinate shareholder and external audits, regulatory reviews and compliance assessments.
- Landholder Management & Payments – Maintain landholder registers and payment obligations across operational sites, coordinate payments in accordance with contractual agreements, and resolve payment discrepancies with relevant internal stakeholders.
- Operational Reporting & Documentation – Prepare and manage the Operations Monthly Report, compliance status and annual reports, management dashboards, and support the maintenance and updating of operational procedures and drawings.
- Continuous Improvement & Stakeholder Coordination – Identify opportunities to improve Operations processes and systems, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to improve operational efficiency, compliance and service delivery.
Knowledge and experience:
- Proven experience controlling construction, development or operational assets
- Knowledge and experience working with a diverse group of stakeholders
- Project management in both construction and operational environments
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with excellent proofreading skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills
- Strong understanding of compliance obligations, evidence requirements, governance processes, deadlines and escalation requirements.
- Superior time management skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relations with staff
- Advanced level of proficiency with using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- SAP, SharePoint and experience
- Database management
- Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure
- Attention to detail
