Senior Development Manager
Senior Development Project Manager | Renewable Energy | Ireland
I'm working with a growing renewable energy developer in Ireland looking to bring an experienced Senior Development Project Manager into their team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a portfolio of wind, solar and battery energy storage projects, playing a key role in progressing projects from early-stage development through planning consent, grid connection and ultimately towards construction.
You'll be joining an experienced development team with a strong track record of delivering renewable energy projects, with the opportunity to take real ownership of projects and contribute to the growth of the company's pipeline.
The Role
- Lead a portfolio of wind, solar and BESS projects through the development lifecycle, from feasibility through to construction readiness.
- Drive recently consented projects towards financial close and construction, managing post-consent conditions and procurement.
- Identify new development opportunities, supporting site selection, feasibility assessments and pipeline growth.
- Manage planning strategies, grid connection applications and engagement with relevant authorities, network operators, landowners and local communities.
- Lead project due diligence, commercial negotiations and the management of external consultants.
- Develop project budgets, business cases and progress reports for senior management.
- Support and mentor less experienced members of the development team.
What We're Looking For
- Ideally 7–10 years' experience in renewable energy project development in Ireland.
- A proven track record of progressing wind, solar or BESS projects through planning consent.
- Strong experience across land, planning, grid connections and stakeholder engagement.
- Commercially minded, with experience in project appraisal, due diligence and contract negotiations.
- Confident managing multiple projects and working collaboratively across a development team.
- A full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across Ireland.
