About Oxana Networks

Oxana Networks is a climate technology and carbon market infrastructure company building next-generation digital settlement rails, tokenization protocols, and market access solutions for the global voluntary carbon market (VCM). With access to an international supply portfolio of over 50 million carbon credits spanning nature-based solutions, technological removals, and clean energy projects, Oxana bridges institutional supply, digital liquidity, and real-world environmental impact.

Role Overview

Oxana Networks is seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Head of Carbon Origination & Project Delivery to lead our global credit supply expansion, developer partnerships, and end-to-end carbon project execution.

In this specialized leadership role, you will be responsible for building and scaling Oxana’s carbon asset pipeline from the ground up. You will source high-integrity carbon credit off-take opportunities, negotiate complex Emission Reduction Purchase Agreements (ERPAs), and guide proprietary and partnered carbon projects through validation, verification, and registry issuance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Carbon Credit Origination & Deal Structuring
  • Global Pipeline Development: Source, evaluate, and secure high-quality carbon credit pipelines across nature-based solutions (ARR, IFM, REDD+, Blue Carbon), biochar, and technological removals (DAC, mineralization).
  • Commercial Negotiation: Structure and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including long-term ERPAs, forward off-take contracts, pre-financing structures, and revenue-sharing joint ventures with project developers and landholders.
  • Commercial & Risk Due Diligence: Conduct rigorous commercial, technical, and financial evaluations of external project pipelines, assessing additionality, durability, baseline integrity, and regulatory feasibility (e.g., Article 6 compliance).
  • Developer Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, high-trust partnerships with global project developers, local execution partners, NGOs, and technical originators.

2. Project Implementation, Delivery & Registry Management
  • Proprietary Project Delivery: Lead the end-to-end execution of Oxana’s proprietary carbon projects from initial feasibility studies through Project Design Document (PDD) drafting, validation, verification, and credit issuance.
  • VVB & Registry Alignment: Direct relationships with Validation and Verification Bodies (VVBs) and major carbon standards (Verra, Gold Standard, American Carbon Registry, Climate Action Reserve, etc.) to resolve Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and accelerate issuance timelines.
  • Issuance & Desk Handoff: Manage credit issuance mechanics, buffer pool allocations, and registry transfers, ensuring a seamless pipeline of issued credits and forward contracts handed over to Oxana’s internal Trading Desk for monetization.

3. Digital MRV & Technology Integration
  • dMRV Deployment: Partner with internal technology teams to embed Digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) frameworks, remote sensing technologies, and IoT monitoring into physical project sites.
  • Settlement Rail Onboarding: Collaborate with product teams to ensure newly originated project pipelines align with Oxana’s registry-to-wallet settlement rails and digital carbon infrastructure.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of dedicated experience in voluntary carbon market (VCM) origination, carbon project development, or environmental project finance.
  • Proven Origination Track Record: Demonstrated history of sourcing, structuring, and closing multi-year ERPA contracts and off-take deals directly with project developers globally.
  • Registry & Methodology Expertise: Deep working knowledge of major carbon standards (Verra VM methodologies, Gold Standard, ACR, CAR), integrity frameworks (ICVCM, VCMI), and VVB audit workflows.
  • Commercial & Financial Acumen: Strong financial modeling skills to evaluate project yield, capital expenditure, pre-financing payback, and risk-adjusted return profiles.
  • Negotiation & Leadership: Exceptional negotiation skills, executive presence, and the ability to manage complex cross-border stakeholder relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical background in Forestry, Environmental Science, Agronomy, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Law.
  • Direct experience deploying digital MRV (dMRV) technologies, remote sensing (LiDAR/satellite), or automated carbon accounting tools.
  • Existing global network of project developers, local NGOs, landholders, and technical carbon consultants.
What We Offer
  • Competitive base salary with milestone- and volume-based origination bonuses.
  • Executive equity/stock option package in Oxana Networks.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness coverage.
  • High degree of autonomy to lead and scale Oxana’s supply and project delivery organization.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with modern office space in Toronto's tech ecosystem.
